Hold Me Tight® Online Couples Workshop – Time for Each Other. Space to Connect.

Eight online evenings for the two of you – to slow down, reconnect, strengthen your bond, and make space for your relationship in the middle of everyday life.

Hold Me Tight® is an attachment-based online couples workshop grounded in Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), developed by Dr. Sue Johnson. Over eight evenings, you will have the opportunity to understand your relationship patterns more deeply, strengthen your emotional connection, and become more intentional about the way you turn toward each other.

A good relationship does not have to be in crisis to deserve attention.

Between work, children, appointments, responsibilities, and all those little things that somehow still need to get done, the connection between two partners can quietly become a little less visible. You may be a wonderful team – and still realize that somewhere along the way, there has been surprisingly little room left for us.

Not gone. Just sometimes a little too far down the list.

Hold Me Tight® invites you to change that for eight evenings.

Not because there is something wrong with your relationship. But because your relationship is something worth caring for – even, and perhaps especially, when it is already a good one.

Is the Hold Me Tight® Online Couples Workshop Right for You?

Maybe you are a great team. You manage family life, work, schedules, and everything else that comes your way. You take care of an impressive number of things – but somehow there is not always much time left to take care of you as a couple.

Or perhaps you notice that certain conversations keep ending in the same place. One of you becomes louder, more critical, or reaches harder for connection, while the other becomes quiet, pulls away, or shuts down. You are both trying to reach each other – and somehow find yourselves caught in the same familiar pattern again.

Or maybe things are actually going well, and you would simply like to keep nurturing what you have.

You do not have to wait until things become difficult.

Hold Me Tight® can help you intentionally care for and strengthen your connection before distance or deeper hurts have a chance to settle in. It can be a meaningful pause for a couple who has shared many years together – or something you choose to give your relationship before you are even married.

Because sometimes a relationship does not need repairing.

Sometimes it simply needs time and attention.

Who Is the Hold Me Tight® Couples Workshop For?

Hold Me Tight® is for couples who want more than simply being good at getting through everyday life together.

Maybe you are parents who would like to make more room for your relationship amid children, work, responsibilities, and family life.

Maybe you have been together for many years and want to intentionally nurture the connection you already have.

Perhaps there are a few recurring patterns between you that you would like to understand before they turn into deeper hurts.

Or maybe you are still near the beginning of your life together or preparing for marriage and want to build a strong foundation for the years ahead.

You do not need to have a “bad relationship” to be here.

What matters most is curiosity about each other and a willingness to make time for your relationship.

Eight Online Couples Workshop Evenings – Time for Your Relationship

Hold Me Tight® takes you through seven carefully structured conversations over eight online evenings.

Over several weeks, your relationship gets something that can become surprisingly rare in a busy family life: a regular place in the calendar that belongs to the two of you.

No commute. No rushing across town. You can join together from home, from a place where you feel comfortable and can have some privacy.

Maybe with a cup of tea. Maybe curled up on the sofa.

Most importantly, with something that can feel rather precious in everyday life: uninterrupted time for each other.

Each evening, I will offer guidance, teaching, and support. But the most important part of the workshop is the time you spend talking with each other.

Because the conversations that matter happen between the two of you.

You do not have to discuss your relationship in front of the group. You will not be expected to share personal stories or intimate details with everyone else.

Instead, you’ll have dedicated time and space to focus on each other.

And there can be something especially lovely about doing this online: when the evening ends, you are already home. No drive back, no sudden return to the outside world. You can simply stay together for a little while longer.

Understand Your Relationship Patterns with Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT)

Hold Me Tight® is not a communication course with a list of rules to remember the next time you disagree.

Your communication may very well change. But we go a little deeper.

I will help you become curious about the patterns that show up between you and begin to understand what is happening underneath your reactions.

What happens inside me when I suddenly do not feel close to you?

Why might I become louder, more critical, or try even harder to get a response?

Why might I pull away, become quiet, or desperately want the conversation to end?

And underneath all of that – what do I actually need from you?

Behind criticism, withdrawal, arguments, or silence, there is often something deeply human: an attempt to protect ourselves and the relationship that matters to us.

When you begin to recognize that pattern together, something can shift.

When we no longer have to figure out who is to blame, we can begin to understand what is happening between us.

Suddenly, it is no longer one of you on one side and the other on the opposite side.

You are on the same side, looking together at the pattern that sometimes pulls you apart.

How Strengthening Your Couple Relationship Can Support Your Family

This part of Hold Me Tight® is especially close to my heart.

When a couple becomes parents, the couple relationship does not disappear – it just gets a lot more company.

Children, responsibilities, tiredness, work, appointments, and the thousand tiny decisions of family life all move in too. And suddenly, staying connected can require a little more intention than it once did.

As a couples and family therapist, I see the couple relationship and family life as deeply connected.

When you feel safer and more connected with each other as partners, that can also be felt in everyday family life. Children experience the emotional climate around them. They see how adults navigate closeness, differences, and difficult moments.

And they can experience something else that matters: that after disconnection or conflict, people can find their way back to each other.

Strengthening your relationship as a couple can therefore strengthen your family as a whole.

A Warm and Human Approach to Your Hold Me Tight® Workshop

Alongside all of my professional training and experience, there is something else that matters just as much to me in these workshops: being human.

I believe we grow best as partners when we feel safe enough to be fully human with each other – with our uncertainty, our mistakes, and our vulnerability, but also with our curiosity, our strengths, and our capacity to keep discovering each other in new ways.

That is the kind of space I want to create.

Here, there can be laughter. Things can touch us deeply. And sometimes things can be a little messy.

You do not have to do this perfectly. You do not have to know the “right” answers.

A personal and warm atmosphere matters to me. I want this to feel like a space where you can settle in, be yourselves, and become curious about each other.

And sometimes it can be wonderfully relieving to discover that underneath even a stubborn relationship pattern are two people who, at heart, often long for something very similar:

To feel safe, important, and connected with each other.

Strengthen Your Relationship with Hold Me Tight®

Maybe these eight evenings are exactly what your relationship needs right now.

Not because something is broken.

Not because your problems have to be “serious enough.”

But perhaps simply because you love each other – and because your relationship deserves some attention among all the other people and things you care for every day.

Eight evenings when work, appointments, and the next thing on the to-do list do not have to come first.

Instead, for a little while, the two of you do.

Time to talk. To listen. To understand. To rediscover. To connect.

Maybe Hold Me Tight® really can be a little bit like a retreat for your relationship – without having to leave home.

What You Need for the Online Couples Workshop

You will need a computer or tablet with a camera, a stable internet connection, and – most importantly – a place where the two of you can be reasonably undisturbed for the evening.

You generally will not need headphones because you will be participating together as a couple. What matters more is having enough privacy that others cannot overhear your personal conversations.

And perhaps something to drink, a comfortable place to sit, and permission to let the to-do list remain a to-do list for just one evening.
